North America

North America occupies an area of around 24.71 million square kilometers, making it the third largest continent in the globe. The Arctic Ocean borders it to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the Pacific Ocean to the west, and South America to the southeast. It is mostly found in the Northern Hemisphere. The varied topography of North America is well-known, encompassing wide plains, untamed mountains, thick forests, and parched deserts. Along with a number of smaller states in the Caribbean and Central America, the continent is home to the three major nations of the United States, Canada, and Mexico. North America has been a pivotal point for trade, discovery, and cross-cultural contact for ages, making it an important part of world history.

Mexican artist Frida Kahlo was well-known for her vibrant self-portraits and surrealistic aesthetic. Her exploration of grief, identity, and the feminine experience in her artwork has left a lasting impression on feminist theory and modern art. Part of Kahlo's lasting legacy are also her famous personal style and her relationship with Diego Rivera.

We made a stop in Sitka, which is a city located on Baranof Island. With the Pacific Ocean, mountains, and woods all close by, it is renowned for its breathtaking natural splendor. Before Russian settlers arrived in the 18th century, Sitka was home to indigenous peoples for thousands of years, making it a place with a rich history. Many historic landmarks may be found in the city, such as the Russian Bishop's House and the Sitka National Historical Park.

As well we got to see one of the glaciers from the cruise, which was as close as it could get. It was a one day trip just to see the glaciar but it is worth the wait. I encourage you to take advantage of the activities that are offered at the stops. Which include helicopter ride, as well as sleigh ride with the dogs.

Alcatraz is a small island located in San Francisco Bay. It is most famous for its history as a federal prison from 1934 to 1963, where the most notorious criminals were incarcerated. It was believed to be an escape-proof prison. However, in 1062, three inmates managed to escape. You can visit Alcatraz with a boat that takes you there and you can go in through the halls and the prison cells.
